Treewalker Treestands Review
I don’t know if you all have heard of the Treewalker Tree Stands, but I bought one a couple of years ago at our West Virginia’s Sportsman’s show, and have been thrilled with it. At the show, the guy showing the stands (which is the son of the man who makes them) had a stand set up on a round steel pole. Unlike other places, where you are often told to stay off of stands set up in such a way, this guy was encouraging us to get in the stand and climb the pole. I was amazed! I had no intention of buying a tree stand when going to the show, but I walked out with one anyway. The stand went up the pole with no trouble at all. It is the most stable, and most comfortable stand I have ever been in. I sold my Summit Viper, and now exclusively use my Treewalker. I also went together with my brothers and bought my dad one of these, which he loves as well.

The first time I saw a tree stand that you could just walk it up the tree I was fairly amazed. It would be cool to get one of these just to hang around in and see what happens, even when you’re not hunting I suppose.

Excellent product review. I own a TreeWalker stand and think it is the best stand I own besides the TreeLounge. As I get older I prefer climbing stands that are easy to use and offer generous standing and sitting space.

Thanks guys! I have never tried the TreeLounge, but they look interesting. I like a generous platform in a stand just because I don’t like heights. It was a challenge for me to use a climbing stand at all. Then, when one fell out from under me while I was climbing down, I started looking for something really stable. This TreeWalker is the best I have found so far!

I have never seen one of these before, but it looks a really neat piece of kit. I don’t suppose you know what the maximum weight capacity is? I’m a trim 265lbs, would it take someone my size?

I can’t remember now if the weight capacity is 300 or 350 lbs, but I know your “trim 265″ is going to be safe! Last hunting season I was around 250, and I didn’t have any problem at all with it. I highly recommend it!

I just checked the website, and the weight limit on the XLT is 350 lbs!

I bought a Tree Walker after using a Tree Lounge for about 4 years. It is simple, light weight, built well, climbs well, comfortable, and is safe. There are no straps to keep it together while transporting and no foot straps to fool with. And, it will stick to a tree like no other stand I have seen. All of my friends have been impressed by it, and I bought another one last fall for my son, who has used other stands, and loves this one. It is very comfortable for long hours and can be used facing the tree or away from it. I suppose you can tell by now that I am totally pleased – and no, I don’t have any interest in that company.

I am interested in a deer stand and I will use it for bow hunting mainly and also using my gun too but not as much. I was looking at the summit tree stands until I ran across this forum and have changed my mind because of the room this stand gives, less weight, and quieter, and seems to stick to the tree really good from what I have read. My question is this. Is it still comfortable to sit in this stand with just the nylon seat or should I buy the chill pad so I will have more padding for my booty? I have an old deer stand right now that is at least 12 years old and it uses blades for upper and lower deck to stick to the tree and the seat is just an elastic band that is about 3 or 4 inches in width and after a hour or two my booty will fall asleep. So, I was just wondering how the nylon netting feels. I wished they added the cushion seat as a standard and not an option.

Chad, i bought my stand at a show, and bought the last one they had (a display, testing unit) so they threw in the pads and seat. I bought one for my dad a couple of years ago, and bought all the pads and seat with it too. I wouldn’t recommend trying to go without the chill pad, it is well worth the extra money, and it is what makes the stand so comfortable. The seat is a bit uncomfortable without it for sure!

Just deer hunted yesterday out of my new TreeWalker treestand.I have owned many climbing treestands but the treewalker is the best I have ever used.
No sliping on trees and I think the net seat is comfortable by itself.
Wish I had found this treestand before Summits, I would have saved a lot of money.
